Harrynauth Persaud, MS, CLT, PA-C, is the Associate Professor and the Academic Coordinator of the PA program. He holds two Bachelors of Sciences degrees (Medical Technology and Physician Assistant Studies), both from York College CUNY, a Master of Sciences Degree in Health Systems from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and is currently completing his Doctor of Public Health Degree at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. His health care experiences include many years as a Medical Assistant, Medical Technologist and as a Physician Assistant where he worked in Primary Care serving the community of Jamaica, Queens and also in the hospital setting at St. Francis Hospital, in Long Island, in areas of Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is also published in many peer reviewed journals including: Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Journal of Complementary Medicine & Alternative Healthcare, and Journal of Health Science & Education.

Developed and Implemented an Asthma Management Intervention Program for Diaspora Community Service (a non-for-profit) organization serving the low socioeconomic population of Downtown Brooklyn. The intervention was delivered to the youth of Diaspora, focused on medication adherence and decreased hospitalization related to asthma: 1/2015 - 4/2015.

International Medical Mission – providing free medical care to the underserved people of Brandon Hill, Clarendon in Jamaica, WI: 7/13/14 – 7/20/14.
