York College (YC) Merit Scholarship

What is the York College Merit Scholarship?

The York College Foundation Merit Scholars Program was launched in 2006.  It is fulfilling its goal of attracting students and retaining them for the full four years to degree completion.

In the inaugural year, 75 members of the freshman class of 2006 received a scholarship award. York offers many scholarship options for ambitious, academically-talented students who excelled in high school when entering York as freshman and transfer students with CUNY Associate Degrees. Students are encouraged to complete an application and submit it along with all required documents by the due date.  In most cases, these awards coupled with other forms of financial aid (e.g. PELL, TAP) help qualified students to meet not only the cost of tuition but additional educational expenses, as well. Freshman and Transfers entering York in the Fall Semester can gain admission to only one scholarship program.

Yearly Awards range from up to $1,000.00-$5,000.00
